Solcare is a company specialising in providing sun care products directly to schools, early childhood care centres and other institutions. Solcare is solely Australian owned and operated. In 2007 Solcare entered the Australian market with a range of sunglasses for primary schools.

A portion of all sales of Solcare sunglasses goes to supporting the work of the Fred Hollows Foundation.  This month the Fred Hollows Foundation distributed Solcare sunglasses to school students in remote parts of NT as part of their ongoing work with indigenous communities in Australia. 

The Principal of Manyallaluk school, Nicholas Trengove, in the Katherine East region of the NT, gave the donated Solcare sunglasses to students during the final assembly of term 3 as part of their end of term reward program.

Now that term 4 has commenced, the students have returned to school and are choosing to wear their Solcare sunglasses on the backs of their heads when inside within easy reach for when they head outside into the 38 degree heat at lunch time!
